The Right Soundtrack
When it comes to favorite or the best it simply reveals the fact of its connection with a memory, maybe good or bad, but that had an everlasting impression on us. And what is better than a song that has all kind of emotions in it, that describes us when we fail at words, that becomes our voice in someone else’s audio! I was just sitting in a bus lost in the thoughts that struck me while listening the lyrics of the latest arijit singh track when I started thinking about the beautiful power of that song taking me so back and so ahead at the same time in a span of memories. What do you listen to the most? Or how often do you follow the rhythm and the beats? I’m sure many of you lose yourself within those 3 4 minutes track and escape in your long experienced memories!
But then, another thought hit me up! If I ask you to answer the question in next 10 seconds about what is your favorite song, which one song will come first?
Can you name just a single track?
Well, taking the very same question in my mind the next hour, I asked a few people too!
Some said a name or two and left me disappointed.
And then one of them…one of you people out there satisfied my soul.
He said, ” There is no one track that can be my constant. I love my entire playlist of 253 songs and am still on a hunt on saavn when my mood doesn’t match the track.” Many of you go for the bass, and many are chained to the rhythm. The part of music that attracts me is the words of the writers and the tone, because the songs represent the writers’ mood and feeling that makee me feel belonged when I go through the same phase…don’t you? When I really want to relax my body, or do the assignments or tasks I will listen to Jazz music. Jazz music is much faster and more relaxing. It makes me want to dance, doing any kind of motion to let go of my body while the music is on. “city of stars” of la la land steals the show everytime. I often just sit on the chair and do nothing. There are times when I do not like to be disturbed by others, I want my own space. And thats when R&B music help me get away from my busy life and clean up my soul.
From beginning the day with a punjabi song as alarm to ending the night hearing blissful, sad but meaningful songs.
Dancing on the latest old remixes on dj nights or locking yourself alone crying on the accuracy of lyrics. One extra push up at the gym to the beats or listening to the jazz working overnight for that assignment.
Songs are always on the rescue… aren’t they? All of them for someone or the other are always, “the right soundtrack”
I fear if “swag waali topi” is in the game too! The road we travel is long
And life ahead is even longer
So take a deep breath, put on the earphones
Let the beats skip your beat, the lyrics shout out your loud silences, and let your next step follow the rhythm!
